Tenant Spotlight: Friends of PACC

Friends of PACC joined CF Campus as a tenant in July 2019. Their mission is to support Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) and enhance its efforts to save the lives of pets in need. Their vision is to see that every pet served by PACC is supported with the resources needed for a safe, healthy and happy future.

Friends of PACC’s measures their success as a whole across their various programs and efforts. For example, their “Keeping Families Together” (KFT) project provides funding for pet deposits, minor medical needs, and behavior training. This funding has been critical to PACC’s lifesaving efforts as they continue to see their communities’ needs grow due to the pandemic. Friends also funds 12 employees, including a veterinarian, vet techs, cat medical care, outreach, and dog behavior staff. Friends of PACC received the Arizona Daily Star’s Readers Choice Award for the Best Non-Profit in 2020 and 2021.

Recently, Friends of PACC held their inaugural signature event, Tucson Subaru Pets of Pima Parade, on Saturday, April 23, along Historic 4th Ave. It was a celebration of the love between pets and humans, inviting community members from across Tucson and Pima County to show off their cherished companions. People were invited to participate with their pets of all shapes, sizes, and species. They had an estimated 1000 Parade participants and 500 animals and spectators combined. This fundraiser provided crucial support to Friends of PACC, and they’re looking forward to repeating the success of this event next year!

When asked what it is like to be a tenant of CF Campus, Román Urias, Development & Marketing Specialist for Friends of PACC, shared, “We love it! Collaboration is fundamental in maintaining a robust non-profit community. The employees at CFSA are very accommodating and supportive. From its state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment to its collaborative board rooms and private work booths, it’s hard not to feel a profound sense of community—working to make the most significant philanthropic impact in Southern Arizona.”
